Tune-in Series: Technology Seminars for Educators and IT Leaders

The Apple Tune-in Series is a collection of free webinars focused on introducing educators and IT leaders new to the Mac platform to the capabilities of the Mac OS X Snow Leopard operating system and Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server. Each day of the week we’ll focus on a different element of Snow Leopard or Mac OS X Server and answer questions from participants. Join us any weekday from November 9 to November 25 and December 1 to 18, 2009, for just the topics of interest to you or watch the whole series.


Monday: Mac OS X Client - Introduction to Mac OS X

An introduction to the basic features of Mac OS X and what's new in Snow Leopard. The focus will be on the Finder, Dock, QuickTime, and Accessibility, as well as the technologies that create the foundation of Snow Leopard.

Tuesday: Mac OS X Client - Compatibility and Dual Boot

Learn about Mac OS X’s seamless compatibility with PC clients and networks, how to connect to Microsoft Exchange services, and how to use Boot Camp and virtualization tools available to allow you to run Windows on a Mac.

Wednesday: Mac OS X Server - Advanced Integration

Learn more about Apple's Active Directory plug-in and how directory services integration can be easily achieved with Snow Leopard Server.

Thursday: Mac OS X Server - Collaboration and Podcasting

Learn how Snow Leopard Server’s built-in features such as the Wiki Server 2 can help manage content for large groups of people. Then see how Podcast Producer 2 can make podcast capture, encoding, and delivery simple and easy.

Friday: Mac OS X Server - Client Management and Deployment

Focus on the built-in tools for managing and deploying Macs including Workgroup Manager, System Image Utility, and Apple Remote Desktop.
