Open since January 2009 to all students enrolled at Apple Authorised Training Centres for Education (AATCe), the contest gave some of Europe’s most talented students the chance to showcase their video and music production skills using Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio. We received hundreds of applications, and the quality of the entries was extremely high. All finalists were awarded mini prizes, and the top four songs and movies are now available for download from the iTunes Store.

<description>Google announced that the number of uploads from mobile phones to YouTube has soared by 400% since last Friday, following the release of Apple’s iPhone 3GS. Newly fitted with video recording technology, the iPhone 3GS allows users to upload their videos wirelessly to YouTube over 3G phone networks. “This growth represents three things coming together”, according to Google’s press release.  “New video-enabled phones on the market, improvements that make it easier to post a video to YouTube from your phone, and a new feature on YouTube that allows people’s videos to be quickly and effortlessly shared through social networks”.</description>
