Apple to open first store in Mexico Saturday

Apple Vía Santa Fe will showcase Apple’s latest store design with terrazzo floors, quartz walls and oak tables.
Mexico City — Apple will open its first store in Mexico Saturday at Mexico City’s Vía Santa Fe, where nearly 200 employees will introduce customers to the products and services loved by Apple customers around the world.
New Apple experts called Creative Pros will teach customers the creative arts.
“Mexico City is one of the world’s top cultural and economic cities and we could not be more excited to bring the very best of Apple to our customers there,” said Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and Online Stores. “Mexico's artistic and entrepreneurial spirit makes it a natural fit for Apple.”
Apple’s first store in Mexico, Apple Vía Santa Fe, set to open Saturday.
Mexico City's 20 million residents have bought from many Apple partners and directly from Apple online since 2007, and Saturday marks the first time they'll be able to experience all the best of Apple, all in one place. In addition to selling Apple’s full line of products, the store will bring Apple’s latest innovative store design to Mexico with terrazzo floors, quartz walls and oak tables, as well as unique gathering spaces. “Avenues,” inspired by window displays along a shopping street, line the walls with interactive displays dedicated to music, creativity, gaming and more.
Nearly 200 employees will introduce Mexico City customers to Apple’s best products and services.
Located in the heart of Mexico City’s entrepreneurial community, Apple Vía Santa Fe will offer hands-on training to entrepreneurs, developers and other business customers in a unique Boardroom.
The Boardroom features a one-of-a-kind reflecting pool and green walls.
The Apple Store is the best place for customers to experience, buy and learn about Apple products. For the first time outside of the US, new Apple experts called Creative Pros will teach customers the creative arts through free daily workshops and offer advice and expertise on a curated collection of third-party accessories. Like all Apple Stores, it will host year-round programs for kids, including Field Trip, which welcomes students and teachers to the Apple Store for an unforgettable learning experience.
