If you want to include music in your slideshow, QuickTime Pro allows you to import a variety of sound files including your favorite AAC or MP3 files from iTunes.
You'll need to have a slideshow movie handy for this tutorial. See the slideshow tutorial for more information.
Heres how to get started in just a few, easy steps:
Adding music to a Slideshow
Step 1
Launch QuickTime Pro and select Open File from the File menu.
An Open dialog box will appear. Locate your slideshow and click the Open button, or simply double click on your Slideshow Movie.
Step 2
From the File menu, select Open File. Locate and select the music file you would like to use.
Make sure the length of the music you are adding is similiar in length to your slideshow. In our example, the length of our slideshow is about 39 seconds so we'll add a musical score that's also about 39 seconds long.
Step 3
Once your music file is open, choose Select All from the Edit menu.
Next, select Copy from the Edit menu. This will copy the entire song into memory for adding to your slideshow.
Step 4
Select your slideshow by clicking on the movie window. Make sure your time cursor is at the start of the movie. Choose Add to Movie from the Edit menu.
Step 5
Select Save As from the File menu. A Save dialog box will appear. Enter the name of your slideshow in the Save As box.
Congratulations! Youve now successfully created your very own musical slideshow using the power and flexibility of QuickTime Pro!
