Developers Preview New Ways to Use Siri for Ride Booking and Calls
Developers are previewing new integrations with Siri that help you book a ride or make a call. With iOS 10 and the introduction of SiriKit for developers, everyone’s favorite personal assistant helps you get even more done throughout the day. You can ask Siri to call a friend or colleague or book a ride to wherever you need to be. With SiriKit, developers are creating unique ways to let users interact with apps, making everyday tasks even easier.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the new ways you can use Siri to book a ride using Lyft or Uber and make Skype or Vonage calls.
Using Siri, it's even easier for Lyft passengers to request a ride in minutes. You can now ask Siri for a Lyft, without even opening the app.
Now you can get an Uber just by asking Siri, and easily share where you are and where you want to go.
Whether you’re headed into the office or meeting a friend for lunch, mytaxi, the largest e-hailing app in Europe, is using Siri to allow riders to easily and conveniently order a taxi to wherever they need to be.
Didi Chuxing, the world’s largest multi-product rideshare platform, will let you hail a Didi ride directly from your iPhone, using "Hey Siri" across over 400 cities in China.
With iOS 10, Siri makes it even easier to call and message your favorite people using Skype as quickly as possible.
Vonage Essentials lets you take your business line virtually anywhere while keeping your work and personal accounts separate on your iPhone, and now you can simply tell Siri to make a phone call from the app to any contact.
Cisco Spark makes it easier to communicate securely and efficiently with everyone on your team and now using SiriKit, searching your contacts and placing calls is simpler than ever.
